The use of TMS during an EEG recording or TMS-EEG co-recording represents a highly promising tool to study brain connectivity in a non-invasive way. In fact, this technique allows to activate a specific brain area with a high spatial resolution, thanks to TMS, and to simultaneously record the propagation of brain activity, with a high temporal resolution thanks to the EEG.
